A Healthy Marriage Begins Here

Merge is a pre-marriage discipleship program designed for engaged and seriously dating couples. It's a chance to seek wisdom and receive counsel about marriage in a safe, fun, and authentic environment. Merge addresses common questions and challenges from a biblical perspective. 

Participating couples will go through the 8-lesson Merge curriculum together, as well as discuss their answers to questions within their table group. You will experience the value and ground rules of healthy small groups as well as develop great connections to a few other couples.

What does Merge look like?

Merge is an 8-week program held weekly for approximately an hour and a half. The program is designed around a few important elements:

  • Individual work
  • Homework together
  • Large Group learning
  • Table Group Discussion

What else do I need to know?

The cost is $50 per couple. This includes your workbooks and other class materials, as well as a special celebration night at the end of the semester. While the time requirement for Merge is relatively low, we do require a high level of commitment for your weekly attendance. 


The weekly time commitment will consist of 20-45 mins for you to complete the lesson and do your homework. The weekly meetings are about an hour and a half. We ask that you prioritize your weekly attendance and make an effort to miss no more than one week. If you are able to look ahead at your calendar and anticipate missing more than one meeting time, we recommend that you wait and sign up for a future session.

Most weeks the schedule will consist of a short introduction time, a 20-30 min large group lesson or testimony and then 40-60 minutes of table group discussion time. There is a possibility that some of the lessons will be combined into one week.

Yes! Every week of Merge there will be childcare provided for children ages 0-12 years old.
All persons who provide care for Victory Family Church, paid or volunteer, have been screened and trained.

We will share a meal together on the first night and the last night of the semester. For the rest of the semester, dinner is not provided. We recommend that you eat before our time together begins.

Large Group is a time at the beginning of each week where everyone meets together in a larger setting. This time may include a leader couple sharing a story or another leader presenting a lesson or video teaching.

Table Groups are made up of 3-4 couples and one facilitator couple. These groups are created and assigned before the semester begins. Your Table Group will be the same for the length of the entire semester. You can request a couple you are friends with on your registration form if you desire to.

No. Because we are methodical about the number of people per group and placing couples together in groups, registration is required ahead of starting the semester.

There is an age restriction of 18+ and it is best recommended for couples who are seriously dating or engaged. Every demographic is welcome!

Yes, although our leaders are trained volunteers and not professionals, Merge meets requirements for the state of Oklahoma in pre-marriage counseling, Oklahoma Statute 43 O.S. 5.1. This will allow couples who complete Merge to qualify for a $45 marriage license discount in Oklahoma. Each couple will receive a certificate upon completion.
